Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha

Arusha Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide from African Clay Safaris and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, relax at the lodge, enjoy the garden surroundings, or recover from your journey while preparing for the adventure ahead. Arusha is known as the safari capital of Tanzania and serves as the gateway to the Northern Circuit parks. Overnight in Arusha.

Day 2 – Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for your first exciting game drive. Tarangire is famous for its enormous elephant population, majestic baobab trees, and seasonal Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife from across the region. During your game drive, keep watch for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions, and many colorful bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park surrounded by the sounds of the African bush before continuing with afternoon wildlife viewing. Dinner and overnight near Tarangire.

Day 3 – Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park After breakfast, continue to Lake Manyara National Park for another day of exploration. Lake Manyara is beautifully set beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment and offers diverse scenery including groundwater forest, open grassland, and the soda lake itself. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, hippos, monkeys, flamingos, and large numbers of birdlife. Enjoy a game drive through this scenic park with opportunities to spot wildlife against one of Tanzania’s most beautiful backdrops. Dinner and overnight in the Karatu area.

Day 4 – Karatu to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Highlands

Serengeti National Park Ngorongoro Conservation Area After breakfast, journey toward the legendary Serengeti, passing through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands. This drive itself is part of the adventure, offering dramatic scenery, sweeping views, Maasai villages, and opportunities to spot wildlife even before entering Serengeti National Park. Arrive in the Serengeti in time for an afternoon game drive. The endless plains are home to lions, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, hyenas, and large herds of grazers. Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.

Day 5 – Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day exploring the incredible Serengeti ecosystem. With morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll have excellent opportunities to search for the Big Five and witness the natural beauty that makes the Serengeti world-famous. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains. Enjoy picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your safari. Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.

Day 6 – Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

Another full day in the Serengeti gives you more time to explore different wildlife areas and maximize sightings. Your guide will tailor the day based on recent wildlife movements, giving you the best chance to find predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, along with elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and many other species. Sunrise and sunset in the Serengeti are often among the most unforgettable moments of the journey. Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.

Day 7 – Morning Game Drive in Serengeti & Transfer to Ngorongoro

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti when wildlife is most active. After brunch or lunch, begin your drive toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers another chance to view wildlife while transitioning from the open plains into the cool highlands. Arrive near the crater rim in the afternoon or evening, with time to relax and enjoy the views. Dinner and overnight near Ngorongoro.

Day 8 – Ngorongoro Crater Tour & Departure to Airport

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular half-day safari. The crater floor is one of the best wildlife-viewing destinations in Africa and offers excellent chances to see lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and even the rare black rhino. After your crater game drive and picnic lunch, ascend the crater and begin the drive back toward the airport for your departure flight, bringing your unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure to a close.
